The 2020 Satsang Prasar & Management Conference for UK and Europe volunteers was held over the weekend of 25 and 26 January at the BAPS Swaminarayan mandirs in Leicester and London, respectively. The event brought together more than 1,400 delegates.
This year’s conference focussed on the themes of ‘Satsang, Samāj, Samāgam and Sevā’, which introduced the main projects for the year – the 25th anniversary of BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, London (the London Mandir), the centennial birth celebrations of Pramukh Swami Maharaj, and the forthcoming visit of Mahant Swami Maharaj to the UK and Europe.
A series of videos, presentations and addresses by swamis and lead volunteers provided the spiritual context and practical aspects of each project for the year ahead.
The Board of Trustees also shared their vision and thanked every delegate for their personal contribution throughout 2019.
Yogvivek Swami concluded the morning plenary session by providing further words of motivation and guidance, outlining specifically how volunteers can engage in various seva initiatives and develop their personal satsang.
After lunch, delegates separated into their respective seva areas to gain specific information and guidance on how to serve better and contribute effectively to the three significant programmes in 2020.
