The Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain, His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, warmly welcomed the BAPS delegation led by Pujya Bhaktipriya (Kothari) Swami and Brahmavihari Swami at Gudaibiya Palace, the royal residence and Office of the Prime Minister. The delegation also included devotees of BAPS Bahrain. This was the fourth time the Prime Minister had greeted a delegation of BAPS swamis and devotees.
The swamis reminded the Prime Minister of Pramukh Swami Maharaj’s meeting in 1997 with his late elder brother, Sheikh Isa and the deep affection he had for Swamishri. They also appreciated the support of Bahrain government for the BAPS and the wider Indian community in enabling them to preserve their spiritual and cultural traditions. The Prime Minister was deeply touched to learn that special prayers had been offered by the swamis and devotees for his good health and for the peace, progress and prosperity of Bahrain and its people.
At the conclusion of the meeting Pujya Bhaktipriya Swami presented an Amrut Kalash to the Prime Minister. The Prime Minister was so moved by the sentiments expressed by the delegation that he personally escorted the senior swamis as they departed from the meeting.
