Over 900 children aged between 5 and 14 participated in the Ultimate Mastermind Challenge at more than 30 mandirs and centres across the UK and parts of Europe during October 2018.
This Challenge was a bite-sized adhiveshan built upon the successes of the 2016 ‘Kidz Ultimate Challenge’ (KUC) – a year-long, multifaceted child development programme. The aspiration of this year’s competition was to build upon the previous achievements of the KUC and foster an appetite for continued spiritual knowledge and progression.
Participants were organised into three age groups and had prepared diligently for several months in readiness for the Challenge, learning and memorising key spiritual concepts and principles about Hinduism and BAPS from their information packs.
Many karyakars volunteered their time to assist the children in their preparation and testing. They were highly impressed with the level of knowledge, confidence and enthusiasm from the participants. One of the volunteers sharing his feedback, said, “Many of the children studied far beyond what was required for their age group. The children answered the questions with great confidence.”
All participants received certificates and trophies as a memento of their success. Many of the children performed exceptionally well; almost a third of all participants received a Gold Award, with several children (listed below) achieving an outstanding result of 100%.
