The Regional Summer Shibirs for Yuvak and Yuvati wings took place in the six North American regions from June through September. The two-day Summer Shibir drew upon a verse from Nishkulanand Swami’s Chosath Padi as its central theme, “Māno Mali Chhe Moti Vāt” (Believe that you have the greatest of attainments).
The Chosath Padi, an important scripture in the Swaminarayan Sampraday, was written during Bhagwan Swaminarayan’s lifetime by Sadguru Nishkulanand Swami. As spiritual aspirants navigate through life, faith is critical to attain and understand Bhagwan. Without firm belief, understanding the glory of what one has attained remains a distant concept. His Holiness Pramukh Swami Maharaj regularly recites this verse to explain the glory of attaining Bhagwan and the Ekantik Sant in this lifetime. Keeping this verse as a central theme, shibir attendees explored how to align their beliefs with their ultimate purpose to attain the ultimate kind of happiness through lectures, interactive sessions and live stage performances.
Through activities like Summer Shibirs, youths are able to develop a firm footing in their roots via scripture-based knowledge and gain appreciation and asmita (pride) for Hindu traditions and culture.
