His Holiness Pramukh Swami Maharaj passed away on Saturday 13 August 2016.
To celebrate his life, work and teachings, tribute assemblies were held at major mandirs and centres throughout the UK and parts of Europe during the months of September, October and November.
The programme centred on Pramukh Swami Maharaj’s message personified by him: ‘In the joy of others lies our own.’
Speakers at each assembly shared personal memories of their uplifting and often life-changing interactions with Swamishri.
The profound impact of Swamishri’s life has also resonated through a long chorus of glowing tributes from many distinguished individuals from around the world. A collection of these were presented as a video montage.
Sadhus also offered their insights into His Holiness’s life of devotion and selfless humanitarian service, as he worked tirelessly throughout his life to serve and inspire others towards the greater good of our world.
His Holiness Mahant Swami Maharaj, the spiritual successor of Pramukh Swami Maharaj, also shared his impressions through a video message, before each assembly concluded with prayers and reflection.
Through memorable life experiences shared by devotees and guests, thousands of attendees across the UK and Europe were able to reminisce upon and pay tribute to Pramukh Swami Maharaj’s exemplary life and lasting legacy.
