Australia and New Zealand region has seen tremendous growth in Satsang in the last few years. To motivate and nurture the youths two Karyakar Conventions (KarCon) were held in these regions. The first convention was hosted in Adelaide, Australia from March 24, 2016 to March 27, 2016 and the second convention was hosted in Auckland, New Zealand from March 31, 2016 to April 3, 2016. The theme of the convention was, “Pramukh Swami Maharaj - His Life, My Guide”. 282 Bal-Balika and Kishore-Kishori Karyakars participated along with 4 Sadhus and over 100 volunteers. The conventions focused on building the satsang foundation for the karyakars through inspiring prasangs from the life of Pramukh Swami Maharaj which guided each karyakar through their personal and Satsang journeys. Each prasang highlighted the struggles and difficulties faced by Pramukh Swami Maharaj and how he was able to overcome them with the help of his Guru’s Shastriji Maharaj and Yogiji Maharaj as his guides.
For the first time in this region, such a large and diverse group of individuals gathered to connect, learn and be inspired from Pramukh Swami Maharaj's life. Sadhus gave inspiring speeches and through interactive videos, presentations and skits the karyakars established the purpose of satsang in their lives.
Both conventions were organised by a team of 30 Karyakars from the ANZ Bal-Balika and Kishore-Kishori regional teams, who served throughout the conventions offering support and guidance to region’s Karyakars. The convention concluded with an immense sense of enthusiasm and optimism, that regardless of hardships and struggles we have a guide, Pramukh Swami Maharaj, whom we can follow. At the end of the four day conventions all karyakars left with a better understanding of how to become Adarsh Karyakars and to improve satsang in their personal life.
