BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Satsang Bhavan in Havant was inaugurated on 28 May 2006 – the culmination of collective endeavours of local residents and devotees over many years. The tenth anniversary of the Bhavan was devoutly celebrated in the presence of sadhus from BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, London on 23 May 2016.
Worshippers and well-wishers from the local community and nearby districts gathered for the festivities, which included prayers for peace and prosperity in the region. The gathering reflected upon the numerous community activities that have been organised by volunteers at the Bhavan over the past ten years.
Mitul Patel, lead volunteer for BAPS in the region, shared his thoughts and experiences: “The Bhavan has been a focal point for the local community as well as a place where we have held regular Satsang assemblies. We are grateful for the support of so many people over the last ten years, and hope we can continue to serve the people of Hampshire for another decade and beyond.”
