With the inspiration of Pujya Pramukh Swami Maharaj, this year’s Shibir was held on the 18 and 19 June 2015 in a villa on the countryside of Kuwait. The theme “We Love Bapa (II)” provided an opportunity for more than 110 delegates to reflect upon their understanding of Bapa and strengthen their attachment to him.
The shibir commenced on the evening of 18 June with the youths, where as the rest joined on the morning of 19 June. Relayed live via Skype, learned Sadhus from India gave guidance through insightful speeches to the delegates.
Through the exhilarating speech on “Shanti no rajmarg” by Brahmadarshan Swami, the delegates learned about leading a peaceful life through better relationships between family members and by nurturing the character of children. Thereafter, Acharya Swami delivered a discourse on “Rajipo ane Niyam-Dharma” and “Ek Nishaan Akshardham.” The essence from the discourses were, “Agna, Upasana and Samp-Suhradbhav” and how these could be earned by having “Satpurush ne vishe dradh priti.”
During the shibir the delegates were involved in many regular rituals like, “samuh puja, arti, mansi, cheshta and Nilkanth Varni Abhishek.” Games like billiards, badminton, volleyball and swimming were also organised to stimulate unity amongst the delegates.
The shibir was a success due to the blessings of Swamishri, the guidance of the sadhus and the efforts of karyakars of Kuwait. Many devotees pledged to perform daily puja, apply tilak-chandlo, daily aarti, chesta, hold ghar sabha, reading of BAPS publications and regularly attend the weekly satsang sabha. The shibir was an enlightening, educating and motivating experience for all.
