The UK National Sanyukta Mandal Shibir for 2015 was held in the presence of Sadguru Pujya Mahant Swami (Keshavjivan Swami), Sadguru Pujya Ishwarcharan Swami and visiting sadhus from India on Saturday 29 August at BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, London and on Saturday 12 September at BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, Leicester.
The event brought together more than 1,800 people from around the UK and was based on Pramukh Swami Maharaj’s guidance for a spiritually enriched life. The key teachings of Swamishri addressed religious observances, faith, and understanding the greatness of others.
Sadhus delivered insightful discourses to explain these concepts in detail. Atmatrupt Swami reflected upon Swamishri’s affection for his devotees and encouraged delegates to embrace his ideals in order to lead fulfilling lives. Mahant Swami encouraged delegates to demonstrate strength of character and conviction in one’s beliefs, including in times of adversity.
The importance of following spiritual tenets was illustrated by Yoginayan Swami, who drew upon inspiring examples of devotees who have followed these observances steadfastly.
Ishwarcharan Swami elaborated upon having unflinching faith towards the fellowship, its principles and for Swamishri, and suggested practical techniques for imbibing such resoluteness.
The discourses were interspersed with a series of enlightening videos supporting the key messages of the shibir.
Mahant Swami concluded the programme by reflecting upon the ideal relationship that one should develop with Swamishri by introspecting upon his virtues and spiritual qualities.
Participants departed with renewed vigour and motivation to lead more spiritually enriching lives.
