As part of its commitment to social well being and community development, a 2 day leadership seminar for Mahila Karyakars (women volunteers) was organized across India on 16th and 17th May 2015. Karyakars from each region came to participate in this 2 day event.
Leadership is communicating people's worth and potential so clearly that they are inspired to see it in themselves. The main aim of the seminar was to provide karyakars with an interface to collaborate and interact with other karyakars, to learn each other's 'mahima' and to learn from each other.
The seminar began with the traditional deep pragatya followed by a video presentation. The program included 2 thought provoking presentations on Hinduism and Human Relations. Written and verbal tests were taken for selection of trainers. Senior Karyakars of both Balika and Yuvati activities briefed the attendees about ongoing projects and activities and encouraged them to support their inter-regional karyakars in all satsang activities.
On the morning of 17 May 2015, a padyatra was organized on the occasion of the upcoming Pramukh Varni Din. Karyakars walked from the BAPS Swaminarayan Mandir, Shahibaug, to Amli Vali pol, where our guru was appointed as the president of the sanstha. Karyakars from different regions also spoke on the ongoing Satsang activities in their respective regions.
