The 'Yagnapurush Cup 2014' cricket tournament was organised by Melbourne BAPS Mandal at the precinct of Warrawee Park.
A total of 4 teams participated in this tournament with the special message of “Work together”.
Over four weekends, the tournament was divided into six league matches, one semi-final and then the final match. A total of over 16 innings were played by teams named Agna, Upasana, Sadbhav & Paksh, in rememberance of these principles preached and practiced by Brahmaswarup Shastriji Maharaj. These principles were chosen for this year's tournament as it is part of the Shastriji Maharaj Sardh Shatabdi Mahotsav (150 year celebrations of Shastriji Maharaj).
On 13th April 2014, the final was played between teams Agna and Sadbhav, with team Agna lifting the Yagnapurush Cup 2014 with a resounding 8-wicket victory over team Sadbhav.
Throughout the tournament, players learned about four principles which Shastriji Maharaj practiced and preached with great dedication throughout his life.
