Through the inspiration of Shriji Maharaj and Guru Hari Pramukh Swami Maharaj, the BAPS Mahila wing of Nairobi, Kenya held the International Women’s Day on the 29 March 2014. The theme was “Kshama Narisya Bhushanam”.
Objective: “Kshama, Shahanshilta ane Satsangni Suvas Thi Jivan Mangal Bane”.
Forgiveness is one of the characters in a woman that helps to easily resolve and stop conflicts that are happening between mother-in-laws and daughter-in-laws, children and parents. Today, there is a lack of forgiveness in women. But by staying under the guidance of Guru Hari Pramukh Swami Maharaj and by doing daily “Ghar Sabha”, women devotees have become more tolerant. It has also helped maintain our Hindu sanskruti in many families. Conveying this message, an inspirational skit, “Kshamahi Param Balam” was performed by the mahilas, yuvatis, kishoris and balikas.
Invited guest Mrs. Nainaben Gudka addressed the audience on forgiveness. Women members from different sansthas also attended the women’s day and appreciated the mahila activities going on in our sanstha. As we are celebrating the “Shardh Shatabdi Mahotsav”, a colourful dance,” Aaje Yagnapurush ne dwaar”, was performed by the Mahila Mandal. A total of 650 women attended the International Women’s day.
