On 21 July 2012, BAPS Australia held its first Community Health Expo to help improve health education and awareness amongst the Adelaide community.
The Australian Red Cross, South Australia Health, general physicians, physiotherapists, massage therapists and other experienced professionals provided information on a variety of health topics to the visiting public. The main talks covered three key areas: heart disease, oral health and the benefits of following a vegetarian diet. Free blood pressure checks, BMI and other health checks were also offered.
The well-attended expo clearly reflected the local community’s interest in maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
