Over 280 people attended the ‘Eat Well, Live Well’ health seminar held at the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in Melbourne, in which a diverse array of health professionals and allied health organizations gave guidance on understanding and promoting gut health.
Participants of all ages also gained valuable insights on promoting their wellbeing through personalized consultations with experts in various disciplines.
The seminar underscored the importance of nourishing a healthy gut microbiome for a healthy gut, and in aiding immune function and digestion to enable a healthier life. Attendees learnt practical strategies to improve and sustain a healthier gut microbiome through diet, exercise, and stress-management techniques.
Representatives from the Victorian Virtual Emergency Department (VVED) and Beyond Blue gave insightful strategies on mental health and emergency healthcare, highlighting mental well-being as a significant component of overall health. Experienced members of the VVED provided information on digitally accessing emergency healthcare services for timely medical assistance. Australian Red Cross staff provided guidance on donating blood and community health resources.
In addition to the presentations, attendees accessed the informative stations to gain insights from professionals representing leading health organizations, including the Australian Red Cross, VVED, Beyond Blue, as well as dietitians, dentists, physiotherapists, general practitioners, orthoptists and other specialists.
