On Tuesday 3 May 2005, over 2,800 yuvatis from BAPS centers throughout Gujarat gathered at the BAPS Swaminarayan Mandir in Amdavad to participate in a special convention.
Based on the theme 'BAPS-One Family' there were contributions by yuvatis from Amdavad, Vadodara, Rajkot, Bhuj, Bhavnagar and other centers. They presented speeches, devotional songs, discussions, traditional dances, skits and audio-visual shows on a wide variety of topics related to spirituality, personal development and everyday issues faced by yuvatis. There was also an interesting display of yoga.
The chief guest of honor was the Gujarat State Education Minister, Shrimati Anandiben Patel. She was very pleased by the presence of so many enthusiastic yuvatis and offered some words of advice and encouragement to them. She felicitated 16 BAPS yuvatis who had attained significant success in various fields.
The convention concluded with the yuvatis attending the evening satsang assembly in the presence of Pramukh Swami Maharaj.
