Between 15-6-2001 and 20-6-2001, sadhus and volunteers of the BAPS conducted a tribal welfare and uplift program. During this period, clothes, foodstuffs and grains were distributed to over 1,500 tribal residents from 20 villages in the district of Dang and 17 villages in the district of Vansda.
Daily evening assemblies were held in which thousands of tribals, young and old, were inspired to live addiction-free, morally pure lives.
Between August 2000 and June 2001, the BAPS Mobile hospital has treated over 17,500 patients.
