Opening of New BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir

Monday, July 1, 2013 - Canada Day, marked a historic day for western Canada, when it was gifted with its first BAPS Mandir to serve West Canada. The inauguration began with vedic mahapuja for the Murti Sthapan Vidhi and culminated with the placement of the divine murtis, the 'Murti Sthapan'.

From July 4th to July 7th, over 3,300 kishores and kishoris attended the BAPS North American Youth Convention in Atlanta, GA. The convention, which focused on the overall spiritual theme of “Ekantik”, was part of a larger 11-day convention hosted at the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir and organized for Hindu youths of different ages.

Youth from South Africa, Botswana, Malawi and Zimbabwe attended this first National Kishore-Kishori Winter Convention.

Amrut Cup 2013 Volleyball Tournament

A volleyball tournament named “Amrut Cup 2013” was organised by Sydney BAPS Yuvak Mandal at the precincts of Parramatta Park. 90 sets were played between ten teams, and Team Gondal won the final to lift this year's Amrut Cup.
