31, Sunday: Parents Day Celebration
The evening satsang assembly was themed on “The Principal Beams of Homes Have Collapsed”. A question-answer session was held with parents. A traditional dance, Swagatam mangalam Swagatam, was performed by children. Thereafter Swamishri was honoured with garlands. Then Swamishri inaugurated a new children’s publication, “Sutev-Kutev”, by Swaminarayan Aksharpith. This was followed by a drama presentation on today’s theme. Finally, Swamishri blessed the assembly, “Householders have to endeavour for their livelihood, and fulfil their social duties, but should never forget family values. Parents should listen to and understand their children’s problems. One who does satsang properly becomes transformed and free from base instincts. So many have become pious through satsang. Where there is disunity; wealth and honour go away.”
