Swamishri performed the pratishtha rituals of pujan and arti of murtis for a BAPS hari mandir in Timbi (Vallabhipur region).

THE SHRI HARI JAYANTI CELEBRATION commenced at 8.00 pm. Brahmadarshan Swami explained the principal reasons of Shriji Maharaj’s birth. Thereafter Ghanshyamcharan Swami elaborated upon the glory of Bhagwan Swaminarayan. A bhajan ‘Premvati sut jãyo anupam’ was sung by sadhus. Then Viveksagar Swami’s address to the assembly was followed by a traditional dance by children and teenagers.
At 9.50 pm Swamishri blessed the festival assembly, “Today is a priceless day for us because God graced us with his birth. He took birth to liberate souls, resolving that aspirants realize his divine form and attain the happiness of his abode. By becoming aksharrup and offering bhakti to Purushottam one becomes free from rebirth. Till one does not realize divine knowledge and glory of God the cycles of life and death prevail.
“So, God has blessed us with this priceless human birth. You cannot get a human body even if you amass all the wealth in the world. That is how rare and precious it is. We have received the human body with all parts – hands, legs, eyes, ears, etc. When you give a diamond to someone and he throws it in a trash can, then what benefit has he derived! Similarly, God has given us wonderful eyes to see good things, but what are we seeing instead! We see bad things and hence our eyes become sinful. By having darshan of God and his Sadhu the sins of ones eyes are dissolved. Such is the glory of darshan.”
