At 11.55 pm an earthquake of 5.5 on the Richter scale jolted the city of Amdavad. Swamishri was fast sleep at the time, but for safety from any aftershocks he was awakened. Till 1.00 am Swamishri sat in the mandir compound with sadhus and devotees. After chanting dhun and prayers Swamishri retired to bed.

In the evening assembly a drama ‘Padvuj Nathi’, depicting the dangers of fault-finding, was effectively performed in the presence of Swamishri. In his blessings Swamishri said, “Firstly, we must understand why we come to Satsang – to rid ourselves of our base nature and personal failings. One must always look at oneself first. When you feel that you are pure and spotless then you will see faults in others. But when you think that you want to become brahmarup then you should see what faults you have and make efforts to get rid of them.”
