During Swamishri's stay in Kolkata after his 83 rd Birthday celebration, the daily morning and evening discourses were held at the Terapanth Bhavan, Laxminarayan Mandir and other places. The evening discourses by Pujya Mahant Swami and Pujya Viveksagar Swami were followed by bhajans by sadhus and Swamishri's blessings. About 60 satsangi children availed of Swamishri's satsang in Kolkata by reciting shloks, kirtans, Swamini Vat, etc. Several dignitaries and industrialists also honored Swamishri, President and trustees of Lakshminarayan Mandir and Gujarati organisations.

Sixty-one satsangi balaks, kishores and sanchalaks from E. Africa and S. Africa had been reciting bhajans, shloks and Swamini Vato for the last three days during Swamishri's walking and lunch sessions. Some had also delivered speeches in Gujarati and English. Today, at 11.00 a.m., Swamishri addressed them in a special assembly. Swamishri appreciated and congratulated them for their presentations and steadfastness in observing satsang disciplines. In his blessings, Swamishri emphasized that they should all focus on their studies and put efforts on a regular basis. He added that regular devotion to God and attendance to the weekly satsang assembly was imperative for their moral and spiritual development.

Balaks of Kolkata mandal recited 'Shanti-path' and shloks during Swamishri's morning walk.
At 6.00 p.m., the special evening assembly commenced with Shanti-path. Two balaks presented a speech in Hindi about an ideal child and effect of company. Thereafter balaks and kishores of Kolkata mandal performed ' Then a classical dance presentation by Odissi youths stunned the audience. The kishores of Kolkata mandal performed a folkdance. Finally, Swamishri addressed the assembly underscoring the glory of human birth and the need to attaining values and moksha.
14 December 2003 (V.S.2060, Magshar vad 5) Sunday, Kolkata
On the occasion of the 31st patotsav (inauguration anniversary) of the Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, a mahapuja was performed. Three-hundred devotees and wellwishers participated in the puja. Swamishri performed pujan and arti of Thakorji. A beautiful annakut of 600 items had been prepared by the local women's wing!
