24 February (V.S. 2056, Maha Vad 5) Thursday, Ahmedabad
At 9.50 a.m. Swamishri inaugurated the recently completed mandir complex by untying the thread at the main entrance gate of the Swaminarayan mandir. To the concluding part of the Vedic yagna performed on this opening function, Swamishri offered the coconut and ghee into the yagna. After blessing the giant congregation, 15,500 devotees were served prasad.

Maha Mantra Day
The evening assembly felicitated selected devotees for their outstanding efforts in mantra writing and chanting for the Bicentenary Celebration of the Swaminarayan Maha Mantra in 2001. Swamishri blessed the assembly saying, "Chanting the Swaminarayan Maha Mantra makes the environment pure and holy. One should do it with sentiments of glory in order to reap its fruits. It is amrut - the immortalising nectar…"

At 6.00 p.m. Swamishri inaugurated the new MRI Center at the Civil Hospital and blessed an assembly of doctors at the auditorium.
