This pictorial presentation is a tribute to the inspiring saintly life of Brahmaswarup Shastriji Maharaj (1865-1951). From childhood, his devotion, spiritual insights and determination to uphold the truth were evident. He revived the Akshar-Purushottam Darshan doctrine revealed by Bhagwan Swaminarayan (1781-1830) in the Vachanamrut and boldly enshrined this Vedic principle in the central shrine of majestic mandirs. Today, Brahmaswaup Shastriji Maharaj is revered worldwide as the founder of the BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha, which continues to promote this unique practical path of spirituality taught by Bhagwan Swaminarayan.
Part 3 shows how Swami Yagnapurushdasji studied the authoritative sacred shastras of the Swaminarayan Sampradaya to further understand the Akshar-Purushottam doctrine as revealed by Bhagwan Swaminarayan. Yagnapurushdasji's research confirmed the central understanding that Bhagwan Swaminarayan is Parabrahman, Gunatitanand Swami is Aksharbrahman and the manifest God-realized Saint, presently Brahmaswarup Bhagatji Maharaj, is the gateway to ultimate liberation. Swami Yagnapurushdasji developed into an accomplished and acclaimed scholar and became respectfully known as 'Shastriji'. However, his efforts to divulge this true doctrine met unprecedented resistance and even endangered his life. Despite this, his saintliness and scholarliness shone to the fore amid such impediments. Before passing away, Brahmaswarup Bhagatji Maharaj directed the devotees to accept Swami Yagnapurushdasji as their guru. However, opposition to his discourses rooted in the true doctrine continued. Consequently, at the insistence of the Sampradaya's esteemed elders, Swami Yagnapurushadji took the bold and historic decision to leave the Vartal diocese.
