This fourth part of Brahmaswarup Pramukh Swami Maharaj’s detailed biography, published by Swaminarayan Aksharpith, covers the period from 1979 to 1982.
Accompany Swamishri as his relentless vicharan continues unabated. The years leading up to the grand Bhagwan Swaminarayan Bicentenary Celebrations in March–April 1981 were among his busiest and most physically demanding. Yet, Swamishri ignored his own physical difficulties to serve the Sanstha, spread the true glory of Bhagwan Swaminarayan and satisfy the spiritual thirst of the devotees. His leadership, organizational and motivational qualities based on solid spirituality touched countless people.
His overseas vicharan to the UK, North America and Africa in 1980 further strengthened the satsang communities there and deepened their understanding of Bhagwan Swaminarayan’s life, work and teachings. While in the USA, even the urgent need for bilateral cataract operations did not deter his willingness to fulfill the schedule organized by the devotees.
In 1982, Swamishri undertook a maiden visit to the UAE. Later that year, he briefly visited the UK to open the new hari mandir in Neasden.
The sheer scale and scope of his vicharan and projects leave one breathless, while his smooth handling of all situations is an education in how to manage one’s own personal relationships.
The book also includes a selection of photographs that add to the reading experience and 42 specially edited videos of Swamishri during this period can be accessed online through the QR codes printed in the book.
