Brahmaswarup Shastriji Maharaj (1865-1951) established the BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha in 1907, based on the Vedic 'Akshar-Purushottam Darshan' revealed by Bhagwan Swaminarayan in the Vachanamrut. To spread this true understanding of Bhagwan Swaminarayan's philosophy, he endured many hardships and challenges. He was enthusiastically assisted by a small but dedicated cadre of sadhus and devotees. Together, they completed remarkable projects, building magnificent mandirs to enshrine the true doctrine of Bhagwan Swaminarayan, and laid the foundations for the now worldwide BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha.
'Likhitan Shastri Yagnapurushdas' is a historical documentation of the events of that period. Using authentic letters written by Brahmaswarup Bhagatji Maharaj, Brahmaswarup Shastriji Maharaj, Brahmaswarup Yogiji Maharaj, Sadguru Nirgundas Swami, and numerous other sadhus and devotees, the two-volume book narrates the fascinating story of how the early years of BAPS unfolded.
It is a riveting read that will immerse the reader in the atmosphere of that era and gives a profound insight into the devout, purposeful, committed, compassionate, resolute, calm and, above all, saintly personality of Brahmaswarup Shastriji Maharaj.
