With the blessings of His Holiness Mahant Swami Maharaj, the unwavering dedication and faith of the devotees from Jersey City culminated in a significant milestone on September 1, 2024. The Nutan Mandir Nirman ceremony marked the sacred commencement of construction for the new Mandir. Pujya Gnaneshwardas Swami, along with swamis and devotees from New Jersey, led this joyous occasion.
The Jersey City, North Bergen, and Hoboken areas have been graced by the vicharan (spiritual visits) of both Pramukh Swami Maharaj and Mahant Swami Maharaj over the years. As the local community has grown, the current facilities have become inadequate to support the expanding cultural, social, and religious needs of the Hindu-American community. The construction of this new Mandir will address these evolving needs.
The Nutan Mandir Nirman ceremony featured a traditional land-blessing ritual, accompanied by Vedic chants, the Mahapuja, and prayers for peace and well-being for the entire community. Once completed, the new Mandir will serve as a vibrant center for cultural, social, and religious activities while also acting as a hub for community service, fostering unity and goodwill among all devotees.
