The Annual BAPS North American Activities Meeting (NAAM) brought together BAPS volunteers across three specialized gatherings to plan for the upcoming year and strengthen their collective efforts in seva. Each meeting offered opportunities to reflect on past achievements, gain updates on new policies and projects, and deepen the understanding of BAPS principles while fostering collaboration and unity.
The Children and Youth Activities Meeting, held in Atlanta, GA, on September 20 and 21, brought together over 700 participants. The Satsang Activities Meeting, held in Raleigh, NC, on the same dates, welcomed 316 participants. The Services Departments Meeting, held in Atlanta, GA, on September 27 and 28, saw the participation of 355 individuals. These gatherings laid the foundation for impactful initiatives in the year ahead, empowering volunteers to better serve their communities.
The theme, “Samp”, encouraged volunteers to integrate values like Madad (helping others selflessly), Milan (collaborating for shared goals), Mahima (appreciating the greatness of others), and Maafi (forgiveness) into their personal and collective seva. These principles were explored through thoughtful discussions, keynote speeches, and hands-on activities, empowering karyakars to overcome challenges, celebrate unity, and foster a supportive environment.
Attendees engaged in interactive focus groups, outdoor sports, team-building exercises, which strengthened bonds among volunteers and their families. The program also highlighted collaborative problem-solving and emphasized virtues that build stronger support networks. Through daily devotions such as arti, thal, and cheshta, participants experienced a spiritually enriching environment while fostering samp. This meeting laid the groundwork for another impactful year of seva.
