On July 27, 2024, the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, celebrated the Murti Sthapan Ceremony, marking the sacred installation of divine images. This event followed the initial consecration performed by His Holiness Mahant Swami Maharaj on August 11, 2023, in Robbinsville, NJ.
The festivities began on the evening of July 26, 2024, with a Kirtan Aradhana, featuring devotional songs led by swamis and young devotees. The following day, the Murti Sthapan ceremony attracted devotees from across the region. Pujya Yagnavallabhdas Swami and Pujya Gnanpriyadas Swami led the ceremony amidst the chanting of Vedic Shlokas. The ceremony underscored the mandir’s role as a spiritual center open to all. The event concluded with the swamis emphasizing the significance of mandirs in the Hindu tradition and their positive impact on families and communities. The mandir supports cultural, social, and religious activities and promotes various community service initiatives.
