The BAPS Women’s Wing in Africa celebrated the UN’s International Women’s Day with a series of inspiring programs at the following centers across Africa: Kenya – Eldoret, Bomet, Kisii, Kericho, Narok, Kakamega, Bungoma, Nakuru, Nairobi, Ruiru, Thika, Mombasa; South Africa – Johannesburg; Tanzania – Dar es Salaam, Mwanza, Arusha; Uganda – Jinja, Kampala; and Zambia – Lusaka. A total of over 3,700 women attended and participated in the events.
The programs celebrated women’s achievements, nurtured the holistic well-being of women and encouraged them to continue contributing to society.
The inspiring themes were conveyed through cultural performances, video presentations, panel discussions and speeches by esteemed dignitaries who shared their inspiring experiences.
