The week-long celebrations began on 7 September 2024, the auspicious day of Ganesh Chaturthi. Around 9,000 devotees came to the BAPS Hindu Mandir for the ritual sthapana (installation) of Shri Ganeshji, the deity of auspiciousness, wisdom, and prosperity, in the presence of BAPS swamis, and members of the Maharashtra Mandal in Abu Dhabi and Triveni Adhyatmik Samitee.
On 14 September, thousands of devotees gathered to celebrate Parivartini Ekadashi, also known as Jal Jhilani Ekadashi. After performing parikrama around the mandir, the ritual visarjan (immersion) ceremony of the murti of Shri Ganeshji was performed at the Swaminarayan Ghat.
In this way, the Ganesh Chaturthi celebration was a vibrant occasion of devotion, cultural richness, and spiritual unity.
