On July 21, 2024, the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in Raleigh organized a memorable Balika Parayan, where over 60 girls, aged 6 to 14, presented the traditional annual discourse celebrating the glory of Bhagwan Swaminarayan and the Guru. The event, themed "Unity Within," was a true reflection of the collective spirit and dedication of the community, attracting approximately 285 attendees.
The theme "Unity Within" served as the guiding principle for the entire program, which had been in preparation for weeks. The girls took to the stage to showcase a wide array of talents, each performance deeply rooted in the values of Samp (harmony), Suhradbhav (goodwill), and Ekta (unity). The program was a vibrant blend of performances, including singing, dancing, acting, and delivering heartfelt speeches that resonated with everyone present.
A standout moment of the event was the traditional mahapuja, conducted with great reverence and precision by the girls.
