A total of 515 boys and girls participated in the two-day shibir in the presence of Pujya Dr. Swami. Themed ‘Sanskruti’, the shibir informed the children about the history and meaning of major Hindu festivals celebrated during the year through speeches by BAPS swamis, thematic skits and dances, video presentations and other activities. During the shibir all the major festivals were celebrated to give the children a first-hand experience of the various festival traditions.
Pujya Dr. Swami also guided the youngster’s to daily offer prayers to God, daily perform panchang pranam to parents, and judiciously use mobiles and other modern media technology.
The children also participated in a local Rath Yatra celebration and a de-addiction rally.
