Over 3,000 people gathered at Bhagwan Mahavir University in Surat for a special event in the presence of His Holiness Acharya Mahashramanji as part of the four-month long Surat Chaturmas 2024 celebrations organized by the Jain Shwetambar Terapanth sect.
Representing His Holiness Mahant Swami Maharaj at this spiritually enriching event were Narayanmuni Swami and 28 swamis and devotees from BAPS Mandir in Surat. The gathering provided a platform to foster interfaith harmony, dialogue, understanding, and shared values to nurture deeper connections between communities.
His Holiness Acharya Mahashramanji, the Eleventh Acharya of the Jain Terapanth Religious Order, has inspired millions through his teachings on non-violence, compassion, de-addiction, and self-discipline. At the event, he personally welcomed and blessed the BAPS swamis, holding a special meeting with them. During the special meeting,Acharya Mahashramanji shared divine memories of his guru, Acharya Shri Mahapragya, and His Holiness Pramukh Swami Maharaj. He recalled their memorable meeting at Swaminarayan Akshardham, New Delhi, in 2005, emphasizing the long-standing bond between the Jain Terapanth and BAPS Swaminarayan traditions. He highlighted that these relationships, built on mutual respect and shared spiritual ideals, have been nurtured for many years.
In the assembly, Narayanmuni Swami delivered a heartfelt address, sharing insights on interfaith harmony and universal peace, drawing from the Vachanamrut, and the teachings of His Holiness Pramukh Swami Maharaj and His Holiness Mahant Swami Maharaj. He highlighted the importance of fostering peace and compassion between all faiths, and recited prayers for the well-being of all. During the event, a letter from His Holiness Mahant Swami Maharaj was read out, conveying his prayers and best wishes to His Holiness Acharya Mahashramanji, further strengthening the bond between the two revered spiritual leaders.
