During the spring of 2023, Southeastern kishores came together in five different cities, including Atlanta, Birmingham, Raleigh, Tampa, and Savannah, to take part in the annual Sports Tournaments. The Yogi Cup basketball tournament, which was exclusively for kishores aged 14-22, aimed to promote the principles of unity, solidarity, and oneness, which were dear to Yogiji Maharaj. These fundamental principles served as the foundation for the event, and kishores were consistently immersed in them, thereby developing interpersonal skills such as teamwork, leadership, and collaboration throughout the three-day experience.
The Yogi Cup provided a friendly and enjoyable atmosphere where kishores not only experience personal competition but also establish lifelong connections with their fellow kishores. This tournament is an opportunity for kishores to grow together in their pursuit of satsang and is a testament to the vision of HH Pramukh Swami Maharaj, upheld by His Holiness Mahant Swami Maharaj, the current spiritual leader of the BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha.
