Two days of celebrations marked the consecration of the new BAPS Swaminarayan Mandir in Varadoli, Ba, Fiji.
On the morning of 23 September, a Vishwa Shanti Maha Yagna ¬was performed to pray for global peace and harmony. Shri P.S. Karthigeyan, the High Commissioner of India in Fiji, was present on this occasion.
Later in the day, a grand Nagar Yatra (procession) gracefully honored the murtis through the streets of Ba, Fiji. The air was filled with devotion as the procession celebrated the mandir's inauguration. Among the dignitaries present was Mr Anil Amin, the Special Administrator Chair from the local Ba Town Council.
On 24 September, the Vedic murti-pratishtha mahapuja and murti-installation rituals were performed Paramchintan Swami and other swamis in the presence of devotees and well-wishers.
Thereafter, the celebration assembly highlighted the mandir's rich history and the life of its inspirer Mahant Swami Maharaj. Distinguished guests included the Hon. Professor Biman Prasad, Deputy Prime Minister & Minister for Finance Strategic Planning, who expressed his admiration for the architecture of the mandir and the spiritual opportunities it will provide.
Previously, on 25 June 2022, His Holiness Mahant Swami Maharaj had performed the Vedic murti-pratishtha rituals of the murtis in Ahmedabad.
