On the evening of 12 November, The Deputy High Commissioner of India in Kenya, Mr. Rohit Vadhwana and the outgoing Second Secretary, Mr. Subhash Goyal, attended the Chopda Pujan cerermony, which was followed by a grand fireworks display with the mandir forming
the backdrop.
On 13 November, over 12,000 devotees came for darshan of grand annakut was offered
to Thakorji. Among the distinguished visitors were Mr. Rohit Vadhwana, the Deputy High Commissioner of India in Kenya, H.E. Miroslaw Gojdz, Ambassador of Poland to Kenya, H.E. Savvas Vladimirou, Ambassador of Cyprus to Kenya, and Mrs. Sujatha Kotamraju, Chairperson of the Hindu Council of Kenya.
The celebrations were covered extensively by news channels, such as KBC, K24 and KTN, as well as ‘People’s Daily’ newspaper and ‘The Asian Weekly’ magazine.
