World-renowned flute player Shri Rakesh Chaurasia and renowned flutist Debopriya Chatterjee visited BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, Robbinsville, to offer their devotion on August 15, 2022. After being greeted in traditional Hindu manner with auspicious marks of welcome and goodwill they took a brief tour of the mandir complex during which they took several minutes absorbing the peace and intricate architecture in the mandir. After that, Rakeshji played the flute before Tapomurti Shri Nilkanth Varni offering a unique experience to the Swaminarayan Akshardham site-seva volunteers.
On August 16, 2022, he again offered his devotion in front of Akshar-Purushottam Maharaj in the mandir after shangar arti leaving everyone mesmerized. After that, renowned flutist, Debopriya Chatterjee, offered her talents in front of Akshar-Purushottam Maharaj. The attendees felt honored to participate in the program and enjoyed the peaceful experience.
Each session was an offer of devotion on behalf of the artists. In sharing their thoughts on the experience at Swaminarayan Akshardham, Robbinsville, Mr. Chaurasia referring to the beautiful mandir complex and intricate carvings, wrote, “It was a pleasant experience coming here. My eyes cannot believe what I’ve seen.” Ms. Chatterjee shared, “It was a pleasure being here. It’s a beautiful temple with beautiful souls around.”
