Satguru Bodhinatha Veylanswami, the spiritual leader of Kauai's Hindu Monastery and publisher of Hinduism Today magazine, visited BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, St. Louis, Missouri on May 16, 2022. The Swamis were received at the mandir entrance by Mandir Pujari and BAPS volunteers and traditionally welcomed with a bouquet of flowers and shawl. After doing darshan of the sacred Murtis, the Swamis met devotees, and well-wishers gathered on the mandir.
In addressing the assembly, Satguru Bodhinatha Veylanswami spoke about the "Living Guru" tradition and the importance of Mandirs. He shared his memories with BAPS, His Holiness Pramukh Swami Maharaj, and BAPS Swami. Swamiji emphasized the importance of retaining the young generation through various Hindu activities. He remembered his Guru Satguru Sivaya Subramaniyamswami by saying his famous quote "Obey your Guru, Obey your Guru, Obey your Guru”.
The Satguru was pleased to learn of the religious and cultural activities taking place at the mandir and concluded his visit with a signing of the Mandir Visitor book.
