Pramukh Swami Maharaj’s 100th birth anniversary was celebrated at the grand Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre in the presence of Pujya Swayamprakashdas Swami (Pujya Doctor Swami). Over 2,000 participants gathered for this auspicious occasion. Pramukh Swami Maharaj’s life and messages of love, peace and harmony were presented through various means: thematic traditional dances by youths, speeches by swamis recollecting the virtues of Pramukh Swami Maharaj, and dramas and skits promoting family values.
Special guests included Deputy Premier Hon. Roger Cook, Minister for Multicultural Interests Hon. Tony Buti, Member for Pearce Hon. Tracey Roberts, Member for Tangney Hon Sam Lim and many others. All were inspired by Pramukh Swami Maharaj’s life and messages. The Hon. Roger Cook presented Pujya Doctor Swami with a letter of recognition in honor of Pramukh Swami Maharaj.
The festivities ended with a grand traditional dance performance by the children and youth of BAPS Perth.
