Honorable Home Minister of India, Shri Amit Shah, visited the BAPS Mandir in Sarangpur on 1st November 2021 for darshan, along with family members.
The Home Minister was warmly welcomed with garlands by Gnaneshwar Swami and Brahmavihari Swami, on behalf of Mahant Swami Maharaj. He visited Pramukh Swami Maharaj’s Smruti Mandir and performed five pradakshinas to pay his respects, warmly remembering and praising the divinity and universal work of Pramukh Swami Maharaj. Shri Shah then did darshan of the Murtis at the BAPS Mandir built by Shastriji Maharaj over a hundred years ago.
Shri Shah's wife, Smt. Sonalben Shah, was also welcomed and garlanded by devotees and paid her respects at Pramukh Swami Maharaj’s Smruti Mandir and at the Mandir.
Shri Shah then met the sadhus in the mandir complex, all of whom prayed for his health and for achievements that would benefit the people of India. He specially discussed with Brahmavihari Swami the need for values and spirituality to usher in harmony and social change. Mr. Shah and family took sanctified mahaprasad, and departed after spending over one hour at the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, Sarangpur.
