On Wednesday September 1, 2021, the BAPS Charlotte Mandir celebrated its 25 Year Anniversary in the presence of Sadguru Pujya Ishwarcharan Swami. To commemorate this auspicious day, Sadguru Pujya Ishwarcharan Swami, along with Pujya Shantmurti Swami and the Southeast Region Pujya Swamis, performed a Mahapuja at the BAPS Mandir in Atlanta due to safety COVID safety considerations. The event was live-streamed to the devotees in Charlotte, who also participated in the Mahapuja from their homes.
On this day in 1996, Charlotte was incredibly fortunate to have its Mandir inaugurated by Guruhari Pramukh Swami Maharaj with hundreds of devotees participating in the vedic rituals. Since its inception, the mandir has had a profound impact on the lives of innumerable devotees providing a place to nurture spirituality, offer devotion, and experience peace. It has been instrumental in serving the community through charitable event ushering pure devotion, selfless service and community solidarity. The mandir has been instrumental in conducting youth activities to instill values, culture, and traditions in the next generation through spiritual guidance, music & language classes, sporting event, and more. The mandir has also provided a center to plan and conduct charitable events such as walkathons, health fairs, health lectures and more benefitting the local community. In concluding the celebrations, Sadguru Pujya Ishwarcharan Swami also performed the Khãt-vidhi of the new BAPS Charlotte Mandir. He also offered his deepest prayers for its earliest completion.
