In accordance with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s nationwide call, sadhus at all BAPS Mandirs in India offered prayers for and gratitude to the brave doctors, nurses, paramedical, government and other emergency services personnel throughout India for their continuing selfless services during this coronavirus pandemic.
At the designated time of 5.00 p.m., the sadhus at all BAPS mandirs performed arti of the murtis to the accompaniment of drums, gongs, conch shells and other instruments. The arti concluded by waving the divas in all directions in reverence to the brave personnel at the forefront of this crusade. Following the arti, the musical tribute and applause continued for many minutes in recognition of the outstanding dedication of everyone involved in fighting this global crisis.
BAPS devotees also joined in the prayers and tributes from their homes by performing arti and offering applause to the brave personnel.
In addition to fully supporting the practical measures specified by the government, prayers continue to be offered by His Holiness Mahant Swami Maharaj and the sadhus and devotees of BAPS worldwide for an early resolution to this critical situation.
