Thousands of families and individuals across North America participated in a special pujan ceremony to welcome His Holiness Mahant Swami Maharaj to their homes in the form of the ‘Satsang Diksha Granth’.
Based on the teachings of Bhagwan Swaminarayan, the ‘Satsang Diksha’ scripture concisely describes philosophical principles and daily personal practices of devotion to be followed by all devotees. Written by His Holiness Mahant Swami Maharaj in Gujarati, the scripture contains 315 verses with translations available in Sanskrit, English, and several other languages.
The grand welcome was organized to fulfill Mahant Swami Maharaj’s inner wish to visit all devotees’ homes personally to deliver the profound messages captured in the scripture. In a letter to devotees, Mahant Swami Maharaj said, “It is my inner wish to do padhramni (personal home visit) at each and every home and explain these talks to all ‘one-to-one’, but due to many limitations, this is not possible. However, as this scripture has reached each of your homes, I feel that the padhramni has been done.”
Volunteers across North America delivered personal copies of the scripture to the homes of devotees, while taking ample safety precautions and following social distancing protocols. Devotees celebrated the occasion with great joy and enthusiasm. After the grand welcome, devotees took part in a special pujan ceremony at their homes through a live webcast led by Pujya Swamis from various BAPS Mandirs.
Many children and youth, and elder devotees in North America are memorizing the 'Satsang Diksha' text as Mahant Swami Maharaj has conveyed his profound delight and blessings to all those who have undertaken the efforts.
