On 26 February 2020, the first stone pillar of the under-construction BAPS shikharbaddha mandir in Jodhpur was ceremonially placed into position by Pujya Ishwarcharan Swami.
The Vedic mahapuja rituals for this auspicious occasion were performed by Pujya Ishwarcharan Swami in the presence of over 1200 devotees and invited dignitaries.
Among the dignitaries present were: Mahant Shri Ramprasadji Maharaj, High Court Justice Shri Vinit Mathur, Collector of Jodhpur Shri Prakash Rajpurohit, Police Commissioner of Jodhpur Shri Praful Kumar, Shri Gauravbhai Pravinbhai Shah, Former Mayor Shri Rameshwarji Dadhich and Former Mayor Shri Ghanshyamji Ojha.
As part of the week-long celebrations, on 20 February 2020, over 2,000 women devotees and well-wishes of Jodhpur participated in a devout Kalash and Pothi Yatra by carrying auspicious water-pots and cloth-wrapped copies of the Shrimad Bhagvat scripture.
Then, in the evening assemblies from 23 to 25 February, Mahant Param Pujya Ramprasadji Maharaj of the Bada Ramdwara Math delivered discourses on the life of Shri Narsinh Mehta and his faith in God. Also, Yogiprem Swami discoursed on the Shrimad Bhagvat in the afternoon and devotional bhajans were sung by BAPS sadhus.
Prior to these celebrations, on 17 February 2020, Param Pujya Mahant Swami Maharaj had performed the pujan of this first stone pillar in Atladara in the presence of devotees of Jodhpur and others.
