Swaminarayan Ashray Dikshamantra
(Initiation Mantra for Taking Refuge Under Bhagwan Swaminarayan)
धन्योऽस्मि पूर्णकामोऽस्मि निष्पापो निर्भयः सुखी।
अक्षरगुरुयोगेन स्वामिनारायणाऽऽश्रयात्॥
Brahmaswarup Mahant Swami Maharaj gifted the ‘Swaminarayan Ashray Dikshamantra’ today (14 April 2019) for those spiritual aspirants seeking refuge under Bhagwan Swaminarayan. When we find refuge under Parabrahman Bhagwan Swaminarayan through association with the present Brahmaswarup Gunatit Guruhari, we become blessed (dhanya), fulfilled (purnakama), free of wrongdoing (nishpaap), fearless (nirbhaya), and blissful (sukhi). Clarifying this principle, His Holiness Mahant Swami Maharaj has inspired the creation of this mantra. On the 238th celebration of Bhagwan Swaminarayan’s birth, Swamishri conferred this new mantra for the first time onto all devotees that were present for his morning puja. He also announced that, henceforth, all new spiritual aspirants will attain refuge under Bhagwan Swaminarayan through this mantra.
Swaminarayan Ashray Dikshamantra:
Dhanyo’smi pūrṇakāmo’smi niṣpāpo nirbhayaḥ sukhī ।
Akṣara-guru-yogena Svāminārāyaṇ-āśrayāt ॥
Through the association of the manifest Aksharabrahman Gunatit Guruhari, I have attained refuge under Parabrahman Purushottam Bhagwan Swaminarayan. By this, I have become blessed (dhanya); I have become fulfilled (purnakama); I have been released from wrongdoing (paap) that has bound me over countless births; I have been freed from the fear of kala, karma, and maya and have become blissful by the limitless, divine happiness of Sahajanand Shrihari.
Upon reciting this mantra, the following mantra should also be recited:
Akṣaram ahaṃ Puruṣottama–dāso’smi ॥
I am Akshar and the servant of Purushottam.
સ્વામિનારાયણ આશ્રય દીક્ષામંત્ર
धन्योऽस्मि पूर्णकामोऽस्मि निष्पापो निर्भयः सुखी।
अक्षरगुरुयोगेन स्वामिनारायणाऽऽश्रयात्॥
આજ રોજ પ્રગટ બ્રહ્મસ્વરૂપ મહંતસ્વામી મહારાજે ભગવાન સ્વામિનારાયણનો આશરો ગ્રહણ કરવા ઇચ્છતા મુમુક્ષુ માટે ‘સ્વામિનારાયણ આશ્રય દીક્ષામંત્ર’ની ભેટ આપી છે. પ્રગટ બ્રહ્મસ્વરૂપ ગુણાતીત ગુરુહરિના યોગથી જ્યારે પરબ્રહ્મ ભગવાન સ્વામિનારાયણનો આશ્રય કરીએ છીએ ત્યારે આપણે ધન્ય, પૂર્ણકામ, નિષ્પાપ, નિર્ભય અને સુખી થઈએ છીએ, એ સિદ્ધાંતને સ્પષ્ટ કરતાં પ.પૂ. મહંતસ્વામી મહારાજે આ મંત્રની રચના કરાવી છે. ભગવાન સ્વામિનારાયણના ૨૩૮મા પ્રાગટ્યોત્સવે પ.પૂ. સ્વામીશ્રીએ પ્રાતઃપૂજા બાદ આ નૂતન મંત્ર સૌપ્રથમવાર ઉપસ્થિત સર્વે ભક્તોને ઝિલાવ્યો અને હવેથી નવા મુમુક્ષુઓ આ મંત્ર દ્વારા ભગવાન સ્વામિનારાયણનો આશ્રય ધારણ કરશે એવી ઘોષણા પણ કરી.
સ્વામિનારાયણ આશ્રય દીક્ષામંત્ર આ રીતે બોલવો -
ધન્યોસ્મિ પૂર્ણકામોસ્મિ નિષ્પાપો નિર્ભયઃ સુખી ।
અક્ષર - ગુરુ - યોગેન સ્વામિનારાયણ - આશ્રયાત્ ॥
મંત્રનો ભાવાર્થ
પ્રગટ અક્ષરબ્રહ્મ ગુણાતીત ગુરુહરિના યોગથી પરબ્રહ્મ પુરુષોત્તમ ભગવાન સ્વામિનારાયણનો આશરો મને પ્રાપ્ત થયો, તેથી હું ધન્ય થયો છું, પૂર્ણકામ થયો છું, અનાદિકાળથી વળગેલા પાપોથી મુક્ત થયો છું, કાળ, કર્મ અને માયાના ભયથી મુક્ત થયો છું અને સહજાનંદ શ્રીહરિના અનંત દિવ્ય આનંદથી સુખી થયો છું.
આ મંત્રના ઉચ્ચારણ બાદ નીચેનો મંત્ર બોલવો.
