Around 150 kishores from six centers across Kenya came together for the first ever Akshar Cup cricket and football tournaments. One of the objectives of the tournaments, which were played during the afternoons over six days, was to cultivate friendship and unity among the youths.
The mornings started with arti and samuh puja followed by a series of informative and interactive presentations by swamis on the rich history and traditions of the Swaminarayan Sampraday.
In the evening sessions the youths presented creative programs based on the favorite Vachanamruts of the Gunatit Guru Parampara. These presentations provided the kishores with insightful and practical life messages.
Both the sports and satsang sessions imparted important interpersonal skills, such as, leadership, teamwork and dasbhav, that will enable the kishores to excel in their daily personal, academic and spiritual endeavors.
