The auspicious Rath Yatra festival was celebrated in Adelaide, Melbourne, Perth, Sydney, Auckland, Singapore and other BAPS centers throughout the Asia Pacific region. Elegantly decorated raths (chariots) were prepared at each center to honor the murtis in traditional processions. Each procession began with pujan of the murtis in the presence of invited dignitaries. Thereafter, hundreds of devotees participated in the celebration processions by pulling the chariots through the streets while singing devotional songs. The processions also featured youths performing traditional dances and children in traditional costumes. With the support of local officials, authorities, community leaders and well-wishers, the processions were thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated by all. The post-procession assemblies included enlightening speeches by BAPS swamis and concluded with everyone participating in the arti.
