A total of 70 kishores and kishoris from BAPS centers throughout Africa visited India to learn more about BAPS satsang and Indian culture. In this yatra the youths experienced the culture of various Indian states. Covering over 4,000 miles, the youths experienced travel in various modes of transport such as boats, buses, rickshaws, bullock carts, elephants rides, planes, trains, jeeps and cars.
Among the places visited were Ahmedabad, where the BAPS headquarters are located; Pindwada, a small city in Rajasthan where the stone for Robbinsville Akshardham is being prepared at 29 different sites; Mathura and Vrindavan; Udaipur and Jaipur; Haridwar and Rishikesh; Chhapaiya, the birthplace of Bhagwan Swaminarayan; Ayodhya; and the historical caves of Ajanta and Ellora.
The highlight of the trip was the darshan and blessings of Mahant Swami Maharaj for three days in Mumbai.
