Celebrations were held in Surat to honor the Swaminarayan Bhashyas and Vadagrantha written by Bhadresh Swami explaining the Akshar-Purushottam Darshan revealed by Bhagwan Swaminarayan.
On 7 April, a colorful nagaryatra of Thakorji, the guru parampara and the texts was organized along a 12-km route through Surat. The procession featured 12 decorated and thematic floats, adorned mounted horses, a marching band, youths on motorbikes, groups of dancing youths and thousands of devotees. Onlookers greeted the procession with devotion as it passed through the city. The procession concluded at 7.30 p.m. at the BAPS Akshar Vadi with samuh arti.
Then, on 8 and 15 April, a total of around 20,000 devotees attended the day-long Akshar-Purushottam Chhavani sessions in which Bhadresh Swami systematically explained the Akshar-Purushottam Darshan. At the end of each session, devotees performed pujan of and honored the texts.
