BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in Atlanta, Georgia was inaugurated by His Holiness Pramukh Swami Maharaj in 2007. This year marks the 10th anniversary of the mandir. Grand anniversary celebrations have been planned in the presence of His Holiness Mahant Swami Maharaj. Devotees and well-wishers from around the region and neighboring cities came together to mark this occasion.
Shri Nilkanth Varni Maharaj’s Murti was originally consecrated by Pramukh Swami on August 26, 2007. On June 24, 2017, Mahant Swami Maharaj inaugurated the new Nilkanth Varni Abhishek Mandapam. The ceremony began with the traditional mahapuja followed by the murti-pratishtha ceremony. Following the murti-pratishtha a grand annakut of vegetarian snacks and sweets offered to Shri Nilkanth Varni. Blessing the assembly after the inauguration, Mahant Swami Maharaj said, “May everyone’s devotion flourish, and may you prosper in all aspects of life. If one prays with complete faith, by the grace of Shri Nilkanth Varni, you will experience the bliss of Akshardham right here.” This celebration marked a historical moment of celebrating spirituality and faith.
